Idalla and I request the pleasure of your attendance along with your corgi(s) and corgi wantabe(s) on Saturday, February 11, 2011, from 12noon to 2:30pm to celebrate Idalla's life. Entradero Park, 5300 Towers St., Torrance, CA

She has degenerative myleopathy and no longer has the use of her back legs. As of today, she is still vibrant, plays with her toys, and is enjoying life. She developed noticeable signs of DM in May of 2010. I don't know how long I will be blessed with her earthly presence but wanted to have her enjoy a love fest just prior to Valentine's Day.
She will be the Valentine Queen (like the Rose Parade Queen) and all the female corgis and corgi wantabes will be ladies of the court or princesses and all the male corgis and corgi wantabes will be lords or princes of the court.
Picnic Entrees provided by Arleen: two kinds of chips and dip, pasta, diet green ice tea, cookies and a special "cake". All picnic eating supplies also being supplied by Arleen. Treats for the dogs.

You can dress your dogs in costume if you like. The females are invited to be in Idalla's Valentine "princess court" and the males are invited to be in the "princes court". Photos will be taken. If anyone has a video, would love to record it.

SACR Adoption Process includes:

completion of a pre-adoption application; homecheck; two week or longer trial period; followup visit if applicable (not for long distance placements; adoption contract; adoption donation (as posted on each dog's bio); and, lifetime return of our adopted dogs.

SACR looks for forever homes and only places our dogs with families with children under the age of 8 years if they are extremely well-mannered, with diligent parents who supervise the youngsters with the dogs at all times.

Because both purebred corgis and corgi mixes are our speciality, we recommend a book called "Everything Corgi" which you can order on line at the CorgiAid Book Store. Sales benefit CorgiAid, a nonprofit organization founded to provide financial assistance to corgis and corgi mixes rescued from shelters or other non-permanent homes.
